How balanced is your Wheel of Life?
The wheel of life is a valuable tool to help you evaluate what’s working and what’s not working in your life.
Before you begin, you may want to rename some of the wedges so they accurately reflect the most important areas of your life. Add wedges of your own if appropriate. You may also choose to split one or two areas into two wedges (for example, separate Family and Friends into separate wedges).
Score the wheel of life by determining your level of satisfaction in each different area.
The center of the circle is zero (not at all satisfied) and the outer edge represents ten (extremely satisfied). This is an intuitive process so take the first number (from 1 to 10) that comes to mind.
For each area, draw an arc across that wedge to represent your satisfaction level. For example, if you scored Money a five, you would draw an arc across the Money wedge half way between the center and the outer edge of the circle.
You may want to date your findings and do this exercise again in a month.
